Rainbow Trout with Spices and Lemon Slices

THE EASIEST FISH YOU’LL EVER MAKE. Usually, I make trout with fresh herbs (parsley and/or cilantro), but I didn’t have any on hand so I used the seasoning salt and dried oregano combo and it came out just as delicious.

INGREDIENTS
2 Rainbow trouts, deboned and filleted
Trader Joe’s Everyday Seasoning Salt
Dried Oregano
1 lemon, cut into thin slices
Sliced almonds
Olive oil

STEPS

  1. Preheat oven to 375F.

  2. Rinse the trout with water, and pat dry with paper towels.

  3. Pour some olive oil in an aluminum sheet plan and spread well using a paper towel so the skin of the fish doesn’t stick to it.

  4. Lay the fish skin-side down, open flat. Drizzle olive oil, seasoning salt, dried oregano and finish with sliced almonds and lemon slices.

  5. Place in the oven at 375F for 15 minutes. Then turn the oven to Broil for the last 5 minutes of cooking.
